Charred Peaches with Sel Magique
A smoky-sweet ritual of summer.
As the sun ripens the last stone fruit of the season, this simple yet poetic recipe invites you to pause. Charred peaches meet a kiss of flaky salt and cool soft cheese — an elegant contrast of heat and cream, sweetness and brine. Serve as a starter, a side, or the centerpiece of a lazy afternoon gathering.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 100g soft goat cheese or burrata
- Fresh thyme or basil leaves (optional)
- Sel Magique Classic Blend, to finish
Instructions
- Preheat a grill pan or BBQ to high heat.
- Brush the cut side of the peaches with olive oil or butter.
- Grill cut-side down for 2–3 minutes, until deep grill marks appear and peaches are warmed through.
- Plate with spoonfuls of soft cheese, herbs if using, and a generous pinch of Sel Magique.
- Serve warm, immediately — ideally with chilled rosé.
Serving Suggestion
Arrange on a ceramic platter, drizzle with honey if you wish, and sprinkle extra Sel Magique just before serving. Best enjoyed with bare feet and golden hour light.
